We are a small bikepacking rental company based in Ljubljana offering ready to ride setups so you can fly in with minimal luggage and get cycling straight away. We pride ourselves on delivering a personal service from start to finish.

Why Slovenia?

You could say that I’m biased, but hear me out. If you have never visited Slovenia, it’s the jewel in the crown of the Alps. It is small (roughly the same area as Wales) yet incredibly diverse and beautiful. Slovenians have a love for nature, protecting the environment, and cycling, which is helped by currently having the world’s best road cyclist! Take a look below at some of the things you can experience during your Bikepacking trip to Slovenia.

Mountains

Slovenia has its fair share of mountains, being home to three mountain ranges. The most famous is the Julian Alps, known for dramatic rock formations. I am in awe every time I go.

Rivers

There are many beautiful rivers in Slovenia and for me cycling next to the emerald blue water of the Soča is unforgettable (even more so if you dare to put your feet in!).

Lakes

Fancy a quick dip after a long day’s cycling? Lake Bled (the famous one with the church in the middle) and lake Bohinj (mountain backdrop) have got you covered. But these are just the beginning…

Sea

Start in the snowcapped mountains and finish eating seafood on the warm Adriatic coast. Slovenia is one of the only places in Europe where you can ride that transition in a few days.

Cities

Slovenia has two main cities. Ljubljana is one of Europe’s greenest capitals with a great café culture, a castle, and trails five minutes from the city centre. Maribor is full of history, culture, great food and wine.

Towns

A personal favourite is stopping in small towns for a coffee. Each one has something new to discover and fits a new piece into your Slovenian culture jigsaw. This is where you truly learn about the country.

Food

You can’t miss this. Slovenia has so many homely, delicious local dishes for you to try. Some of my favourites include: Jota(v), Ričet(v), Štruklji(v), and Golaz. There are also famous local desserts!

Culture

A small effort goes a long way. Almost everyone here can speak English, but if you can learn a few phrases in Slovene, you will find the happiest people around. Music, food, language, lifestyle – get immersed!

Bikepacking is about more than covering distance. It is about slowing down, appreciating the little things, and creating stories you will remember for years. It’s about using the freedom, flexibility, and time that a bike gives you to experience a place with all your senses.

The scenery in Slovenia is incredible, but it’s the people you meet, the experiences you share and the challenges you overcome that will stay with you.

Meet the Team

Justin

Kona Unit X (Small Frame)

Small but mighty, Justin has more mounting points than you have ideas and with 29×2.25 tyres and a steel frame he rides like a magic carpet. Dependable, practical and quite attractive if I do say so myself.

Dom

Sonder Frontier (XL Frame)

A big friendly giant, Dom likes nothing more than hauling heavy gear and enjoying the view. As close as you can get to a Slovene sherpa. As you can see there is even room for your bananas and crocs.

Eva

Cube Nuroad Pro Fe (M Frame)

Cutting through the air like a fish Eva is for the speed demons. She is durable, dependable and flexible. She can be set up as a tourer with rear racks or as a gravel munching machine with a minimal soft bag setup.

Juan

One-one Custom (L Frame)

Juan the titanium One-One or as we call him ‘onejuan’ is our premium bikepacking machine. Incredibly fast, superlight (sub10kg) and beautiful. He has a premium gear system and more carbon than an F1 car.

Price list (Euros per day)

Every rental comes with a bag setup that suits you, a spare tube, pump and basic tools. We can also organise camping gear, video equipment and luggage storage for a small extra fee.

Booking Process

2. We will reach out with more info and a meeting invite if you would like support booking flights, trip planning etc
3. Meet us in Ljubljana, where we can assist with bike setup and packing, making sure you have all you need for the adventure
